Every Sunday at CoVeu Eatery and Drinkery, the Ray Gunn Band put on the “Ray Gunn Band Jam”.
They invite local artist to showcase their talent on a popular stage. We are excited to bring this jam to the Cornfest this year!
Ray Gunn was born into a musical family. His father was an exceptional guitar player while his mom played piano and standup bass. He got his first guitar at the age of 8 and at the age of 12 was playing bass guitar for his dad’s band in California.
While growing up the biggest influence on him musically was his Dad and varies of artists.
Ray has played many Casinos in the Laughlin area, where he has opened for big names Artists like Willie Nelson, Vince Gill, Charlie Daniels Gary Allen and 3 Dog Night just to name a few. He has had more than 30 years’ experience playing Country, Rock and Blues. In an ever changing business he stays current without losing the flavor of the past. He is known for having a style of his own.
Ray sings many of the old traditional songs as well as top 40 country and other variety of music that’s keep a party going. Ray Gunn’s reputation as professional lead guitar player continues to spread thought the Tri- State where resided with his wife.
Kenny Mohs started playing drums when he was 6 years old. As he was learning how to play, he learned how to read music too. At age 13, he had his first professional gig. Growing up in Las Vegas, he had the benefit of watching, listening, and learning from world class musicians. Joining the Musicians Union at age 15, opened up the opportunity to play a variety of music from local lounges to full production shows. Age 18, Kenny started touring the country with a variety of artists, some of which are Rock n Roll Hall of Famers. Along the way, he has picked up others skills such as Audio Engineering, Stage Production and A/V just to name a few. Not touring full time anymore, Kenny has settled down in Ft Mohave, AZ with his wife and 9 year old son. You can find him still playing in the Tri State area, where he has found a stable of good musicians that want to play for the love of the craft and comradery.
Bruce Speakman has played guitar and bass, as well as running sound in the Bullhead/ Laughlin area for upward 36+ years. He has owned 4 local music stores, which he still owns one that is located in Ft Mohave called The Music Store. He has performed in every Laughlin Casinos and Arizona Clubs from Kingman, Parker Lake Havasu and Bullhead City. He plays bass and guitar with the Ray Gunn Band that host the longest running Jam Session in the Tri- State. Bruce resides in Mohave Valley with his wife
